The Herald of Fauna is a lot smaller than she looks.
She rules the portion of the Great Forest that lies within the Night. She dislikes people encroaching her territory, mostly because it disturbs the fantastical beasts that live within it. These creatures, despite myth, are quite docile and timid.
She’s hot tempered, rash, and a bit blunt. She’s also loud and talkative, and often goes to Silver Town to hear in on gossip and the like. She knows a lot of it isn’t true, but she thinks its more interesting that way.
The Herald of Flora governs over the section of the Great Forest that is within the boundaries of the Day. He attends the Sun’s court during the spring and summer sessions.
He is very quiet and reserved. He would rather listen to his friends, like Earth and Fire, than speak. This is because he’s afraid he’d do something stupid. He is relatively patient, but he has little tolerance for smart alecks. Many Alrue go to him for advice, which he can usually give them.
The Herald of Disease doesn’t really do much at all. This is mostly because it hurts him to move, and he is generally too sick to do anything.
The ooze he secretes seems to be incredibly poisonous to all forms of life, save for other Heralds. He stays in the bottom levels of the Herald of Decay’s home. Despite the isolation, he isn’t lonely. He says that the company of his wife is enough.
He is very shy, even around people that he knows well. He prefers to listen rather than to speak. He enjoys reading and is pen pals with the Herald of Thought.
She acts a bit motherly towards everyone, but manages to be morbid at the same time. She doesn’t talk very much, but gets really excited about certain topics. She “tends” to the portion of the Great Forest located within the Night. Fauna has no qualms with this, as it prevents overpopulation of animals and plants.
She distrusts the Herald of Health and is married to the Herald of Disease.
